| Message from the Cadet Commander |
Welcome to the Cass County Composite Squadron! I’m C/Capt Kenna Eggenberger, the Cadet Commander. I have been in CAP 4
years and have participated in many squadron, regional and national
activities.
I’ve met many new people and forged lasting friendships. At
the squadron level, I’ve had the opportunity to build and
launch rockets! I was able to have an orientation flight, where
I got to ride in a four place Cessna plane! I became CPR qualified
through classes at the squadron. I’ve even been on search
and rescue missions!
Our Squadron Commander, Deputy Commander and Senior Members do their
best to make sure that we not only learn and excel, but also have
fun along the way! I’ve been able to attend summer encampments
at Whiteman Air Force Base where I got to sit in the cockpit of
a B2 Stealth Bomber!
On the National level, I’ve been to National Flight Academy
where I flew my first solo flight and attend National Blue Beret
during the Oshkosh, Wisconsin EAA Air Venture where I marshaled
(directed) aircraft.
Our squadron Drill Team went to the National Cadet Competition in
Washington DC where we competed against other drill teams and had
the amazing opportunity to tour some of our national landmarks including
the Air and Space Museum.
I’ve learned discipline, self confidence, leadership
skills and how to be a more effective follower. I’ve learned
more about serving others through volunteer services we perform
in the community.
As a member of the Honor Guard, I’ve had the responsibility
and privilege of representing my country and honoring our veterans,
by presenting the colors, the U.S. Flag, at places such as; local
veterans events, community parades, St. Louis Rams football games,
Royal’s baseball games, NASCAR races and squadron events.
You too can experience all that I have, and more, when you join
the Cass County Composite Squadron Eagles and soar with us!
