NCR Region Staff College
Region Staff College is an in-depth study of management, leadership, and communications designed to highlight how CAP's missions are accomplished at the region level. The curriculum is completed over 40 classroom hours in a laboratory/seminar environment. Seminar discussions, case studies, and practical exercises will guide Staff College students through these requirements.
This course is designed for Level III and Level IV senior members to help them better execute the duties and responsibilities associated with CAP command and staff positions.
The North Central Region Staff College this summer is being hosted by Minnesota Wing. It will be located at the Anoka County Airport, just North of Minneapolis, from 10-15 August 2019. Registration can be completed on eventbrite here (link).
Requirements: An individual wishing to attend this event must have completed Level III professional development and have it logged in E-Services before registering for the event. In addition, the applicant must submit a CAPF 17 by July 29, 2019. Payment must be submitted online or received by August 1, 2019.
Lodging: Lodging will be the responsibility of the student. CAP members can use the corporate discount code for Wyndham Hotels. More information can be found at this link. The Extended Stay America in Maple Grove or Brooklyn Park is also an affordable option that is 25 minutes from the airport. Otherwise the Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Coon Rapids, MN and Super 8 by Wyndham Blaine/Mpls/St. Paul Area are also nearby and affordable.
Parking: Free Parking On-Site
Transportation: Individuals are responsible for their own transportation to Minneapolis. If arriving via the airport, our staff can schedule two pick-up times from the airport.
Food: RSC will be providing snacks all week and a graduation dinner on August 14th. All other food is the responsibility of the student.
What is the uniform for the event?
Uniforms for the week are any of the CAP distinctive uniforms: white aviator shirt, polo shirt, grey slacks.
You may also wear the AF style short sleeve, blue uniform if you meet the weight and grooming standards.
Utility uniforms (BDU’s, ABU’s, or flight suits) are not authorized. Uniform for the banquet will be Mess Dress, Service Coat, Blazer Combination or appropriate civilian attire.
Anything special I need to bring?
Most participants bring laptops, tablets or other devices but are not necessary.
