NCR Region Staff College
Region Staff College is an in-depth study of management, leadership, and communications designed to highlight how CAP's missions are accomplished at the region level. The curriculum is completed over 40 classroom hours in a laboratory/seminar environment. Seminar discussions, case studies, and practical exercises will guide Staff College students through these requirements.
This course is designed for Level III and Level IV senior members to help them better execute the duties and responsibilities associated with CAP command and staff positions.
The next North Central Region Staff College will be held at the Kansas Wing HQ in Salina, KA from 27-31 December 2019. Tickets are available through Eventbrite here.
Requirements: An individual wishing to attend this event must have completed Level III professional development and have it logged in E-Services before registering for the event. In addition, the applicant must submit a CAPF 17 by Dec 15, 2019. Payment must be submitted online or received by Dec 15, 2019.
10 hours of course work will be done online in advance via Blackboard Coursesites. (Things like developing your CAP resume, working on a speech that will be presented in person, etc.) The online will be available on 1 November. The link will be sent to all those who are registered when it is ready.
Cost: $100 for students and staff that will include three meals (pizza for movie night, one working lunch, one graduation dinner).

Other meals will be on your own in the local area; there are many restaurant options in Salina.
Lodging: Barracks (rates announced soon). Anyone who does not wish to stay in the barracks will have to make their own arrangements off-base.
Parking: Free Parking On-Site
Transportation: Individuals are responsible for their own transportation to Salina.
What is the uniform for the event?
Uniforms for the week are any of the CAP distinctive uniforms: white aviator shirt, polo shirt, grey slacks.
You may also wear the AF style short sleeve, blue uniform if you meet the weight and grooming standards.
Utility uniforms (BDU’s, ABU’s, or flight suits) are not authorized. Uniform for the banquet will be Mess Dress, Service Coat, Blazer Combination or appropriate civilian attire.
Anything special I need to bring?
Most participants bring laptops, tablets or other devices but are not necessary.
