Close to 60 members of South Dakota Wing, Civil Air Patrol, spent the day April 15 capturing photographs of rivers and streams to simulate flood photography missions for local government. CAP crews performed air, ground and drone photo sorties along Rapid Creek, French Creek, The Cheyenne River, the Bad River and the Big Sioux River.

South Dakota Civil Air Patrol pilots and the aircrew assisted the South Dakota Air National Guard in practicing the interception of slow-moving aircraft February 10. In addition to the F-16 pilots and crews sharpening their skills, U.S. Air Force evaluators reviewed the CAP aircrews’ performance under a new evaluation system.

Civil Air Patrol in South Dakota is assisting Feeding South Dakota (FSD) and other agencies in their efforts to feed South Dakotans who have been snowed in for over a week because of winter storms. The operational support was approved yesterday (Tuesday) by the Civil Air Patrol National Headquarters.

Members of South Dakota Wing, Civil Air Patrol (CAP), stood up for a mission October 20 involving a member of the CAP family.

On September 21, 2022, Kansas Wing conducted two critical blood transports across three states, totaling 27 boxes of blood delivered between Colorado, Kansas, and Oklahoma. 

SD Wing has purchased litters for squadrons, to enhance our Emergency Services capability, demonstrated here by Crazy Horse Squadron.
