Iowa Wing Squadron Supports Local School

Maj. Green and adult volunteer Fundermann from Iowa Wing's Black Hawk County Composite Squadron recently visited Mrs. Ebling's class at Cedar Heights Elementary to educate them on space orbits and exploration. They visit the class every Winter/Spring to educate the class on a space-related topic. Mrs. Ebling is a CAP Aerospace Education Member which entitles educators access to aerospace/STEM material to integrate into their curriculum!

Students got to hold items to see the planets to scale and learned where their orbits would be in relation to our school and town. They also constructed and launched rockets!
