Long Serving Minnesota Wing Member Passes
Maj. Ulrich Roedder, of Minnesota Wing's 130th Composite Squadron, passed away at his home on Saturday, October 29, 2022, at the age of 74.
Maj. Roedder had been a member of Civil Air Patrol since 1999. Over the years he contributed to the 130th Composite Squadron in countless ways. He worked on the squadron hangar when it was first being built. He developed the remote control and monitoring system for the hangar's HVAC control. He was a pilot and a flight instructor. Recently he served as Operations Officer, Standardization/Evaluation Officer, Safety Officer for the squadron. Even though health concerns have kept him away from in-person meetings, he assisted with the Safety portion of the squadron's most recent SUI. He continued to assist with the HVAC system. His experience and history with the squadron made him a valuable resource that will be sorely missed.
