Minnesota Wing Cadets Solo in Gliders
Three CAP cadet "Chiefs" are now chiefs of the air in non-powered flight!
This team of three cadets each flew solo at the Stanton Airfield in Dennison, MN. They have been working as a team after graduating from glider flight academies last summer.
C/CMSgt John Tabor and C/CMSgt Sam Anderson both from the St. Paul Composite Squadron earned their wings by completing their first solo flight. C/CMSgt Thomas Botkin from the North Hennepin Composite Squadron renewed his solo endorsement.
Special thanks to the enormous support from their CFIs Lt Col Carl Hallum and Capt Bill Pagel and the numerous tow plane pilots and flight line officers including Maj David Carlstrom and Capt Gary Berquist who got them in the air!
