Missouri Wing Assists with Missing Hunter Search
Missouri Wing, Civil Air Patrol, assisted the National Park Service in conducting a search for a missing hunter in Southeast Missouri in response to a request by the Air Force Rescue Coordination Center.
CAP aircraft, aircrew, ground and small unmanned aerial system (sUAS or drone) teams from Fort Leonard Wood Composite Squadron, Gateway Senior Squadron, Trail of Tears Composite Squadron, and Harry S. Truman Composite Squadron participated in the mission.
While the result was not what all had hoped for, Missouri Wing members are ready to assist our communities when called upon.
