Nebraska Wing Collaborates for Orientation Flights

October 11, 2022

Nebraska Wing's Lee Bird Composite Squadron located in North Platte, Nebraska, hosted a successful Open House on Saturday October 8. The event started with a rank up ceremony where five cadets received their first rank from cadet commander Jonathan Dekleva.

The event was a multi-state opportunity as Kansas Wing Lt Col Douglas Dutton and crew consisting of Lt Col Eric Davis and Lt Col Tom Page flew the tow plane and glider to North Platte for Cadet Orientation flights. Joining the Kansas Wing members, Nebraska Wing pilots Capt Charles Moe, Capt Charlie Kuskie, and 1 Lt Thomas Moore provided 39 sorties throughout the day for cadets representing the 155th Composite Squadron (Lincoln, NE), the 99th Pursuit Composite Squadron (Omaha, NE), and Lee Bird Composite Squadron. Great job Nebraska and Kansas Wings for this successful collaboration!
