First of a new series of regular postings from Minnesota Wing where they post one common myth or misconception about Civil Air Patrol each week. We want to bring awareness to others to understand what Civil Air Patrol is all about. So here is our very first myth.

You do not have to be a pilot to join Civil Air Patrol. There are many great opportunities to get involved that do not require you to be a pilot. For example, you can use your experiences to help mentor and lead cadets in the Cadet Program. You could also learn about Search and Rescue.
