North Dakota Deputy Commander Promoted

An award and promotion ceremony for Lt. Col. Ashley Ratliff was held at the North Dakota Wing's 119th ANG Cadet Squadron at the Fargo North Dakota ANG Base on September 13, 2025.

Lt. Col. Ratliff, one of two North Dakota Wing Deputy Commanders, completed her Level 5 in the Education and Training program on April 6, 2025. She was formally promoted to Lieutenant Colonel on June 25, 2025.

Lt. Col. Ratliff was formally presented her Gill Robb Willson (Level 5) award by Col. Barden, North Dakota Wing Commander, at the opening of the ceremony.

This was followed by the formal pinning ceremony to Lieutenant Colonel, officiated by Col. Tom Theis, North Central Region Commander. The actual “pinning” was accomplished by Lt. Col. Ratliff’s parents.

The ceremony was concluded with refreshments and fellowship.
