Passing of Former Missouri Wing Member
In Memoriam: Lt. Col. Linda Poland
North Central Region is saddened to learn of the passing of Lt. Col. Linda Poland, a former member of Missouri Wing and most recently of Ohio Wing, at age 75.
An integral member of the former MOWG Spirit of St. Louis Composite Squadron, she served subsequently as commander of OHWG's Lt. Col. Jerome P. Ashman Composite Squadron and on OHWG staff. She was married for 55 years to her husband, Chaplain (Lt. Col.) David Poland (pictured together).
"I remember her smile and willingness to step-up and help where needed," noted former Spirit of St. Louis Composite Squadron commander Lt. Col. David Miller. "Her dedication to supporting our cadets, whether here in Missouri or in Ohio, was inspirational."
