Passing of Nebraska Wing Member
Nebraska Wing is saddened to announce the passing of Lt. Col. Kenneth Frank, a 29-year veteran of the Civil Air Patrol and the Nebraska Wing (NEWG). Lt. Col. Frank joined CAP in August of 1989 and faithfully served until his retirement in 2018.
Throughout his distinguished career, Lt. Col. Frank was a dedicated member of the Capital City Senior Squadron. He held multiple key duty positions, including serving several terms as the NEWG Director of Finance, most recently from July 2014 to March 2018. He also contributed as the Assistant Director of Operations.
An accomplished Mission Pilot, Lt. Col. Frank was recognized for his commitment, professionalism, and exemplary service with Commander’s Commendations and a Meritorious Service Award. His legacy is reflected in the many lives he influenced and the example he set for future generations of volunteers. His decades of service stand as a testament to his unwavering dedication to the mission of Civil Air Patrol, to serve America’s communities with excellence and integrity. He will be remembered with honor and gratitude by his fellow members and friends in the Nebraska Wing and beyond.

Lt. Col. Frank will be laid to rest with military honors at 3:30 p.m. Friday, July 18, at Omaha National Cemetery, 14250 Schram Road, Omaha. A memorial service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 19, at Grace Lutheran Church, 11640 A Street, Walton, NE.
