S. Dakota Squadron Assists with Flag Retirement Ceremony

South Dakota Wing's Crazy Horse Composite Squadron Assists with 2nd Annual Flag Retirement Ceremony

On September 11th, in observance of Patriot Day, members of the Crazy Horse Composite Squadron proudly supported American Legion Post 46 during their 2nd Annual Flag Retirement Ceremony.

Cadets and senior members assisted in various ceremonial duties, including folding American flags and serving as escorts for community members as they presented their worn flags to the Post Commander for official retirement. The solemn ceremony honored the proper disposal of American flags that had become unserviceable, in accordance with U.S. Flag Code.

The event served as a meaningful tribute to the memory of those lost on 9/11 and a demonstration of continued community partnership and civic duty.
