SD and MN Wing Teams Place Tops in North Central Region Cadet Competition
Congratulations to the color guards from South Dakota Wing's Sioux Falls Composite Squadron and Minnesota Wing's Viking Composite Squadron for placing as the top two teams in last weekend's North Central Region Cadet Competition! They now go on to represent North Central Region at the national competition.
Events occurred at Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri, and included; indoor and outdoor posting of the colors, standard drill (both color guard and element drills), a team leadership problem, a written exam, uniform inspections, and an on-site cadet physical fitness test. Additional electives include: impromptu public speaking, a pre-competition service project, and a panel quiz.
Congratulations to all nine teams, from five wings (Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, North Dakota, and South Dakota), who competed -- your enthusiasm, determination, and professionalism makes all of NCR proud of your accomplishments!
