One of the most exciting benefits of being a Civil Air Patrol Aerospace Education Member (AEM) is the opportunity to participate in a Teacher Orientation Program (TOP) flight. Educators don’t just learn about aviation — they experience it firsthand, exploring aircraft systems and even taking the controls in flight.
Christine Griebel, STEM Director for Dakota Horizons Girl Scouts in Sioux Falls, SD, recently took to the skies to expand her aviation knowledge. She’s excited to bring this experience to girls across South Dakota during aviation camps this summer.
