State Rep. Flies with Missouri Wing
Recently, Missouri State Representative Anthony Ealy, Jr. (District 36), enjoyed a fly-over of his district and Kansas City, noting in his weekly Capitol Report:
“On Saturday, June 1, 2024, my Legislative Assistant and I flew over my District with Maj. Sampath Samarasinghe as the pilot. Maj. Sam Samarasinghe, Missouri Wing Director of Operations with the Civil Air Patrol, U.S. Air Force Auxiliary, was our champion. The day was calm, beautiful, and good for flying. The Civil Air Patrol work closely with the Missouri National Guard, SEMA, and the Missouri Department of Natural Resources. They are officially the Office of Air Search and Rescue in Missouri. Please enjoy some of our pictures from the sky. With me in the (group) picture are (from left) Maj. Sampath Samarasinghe, Capt. Dan Stratman, Lt. Col. Richard Veach, and Capt. Joseph Costanzo. They gave us plenty of information on Civil Air Patrol and what they do. They were wonderful.”
