Successful Iowa Wing Mission Quickly Finds Emergency Beacon

Congratulations to the Iowa Wing on a successful Air Force Assigned Mission (AFAM) in under two hours!

"September 1, 2024 @ 738pm, Air Force Rescue Coordination Center tasked Iowa Civil Air Patrol is the location of an active EPRIB in the vicinity of Madrid, Iowa. With the help of Boone County Sheriffs Department and Madrid Police Department, the EPIRB was located and silenced at 934pm, just shy of 2 hours from notification to silence. Excellent work by all members tasked."
