Successful Iowa Wing SAREX
This weekend 70 members and 6 aircraft from across the Iowa Wing came together and conducted an annual Search and Rescue Training Exercise (SAREX) to sharpen our skills and tactics if needed to respond to a real world mission.
"Both cadets and senior members, young and old participated in ground team efforts by foot, airborne searching by plane, and commanding roles at mission base. The objective? Honing our abilities to be ready and prepared to respond in times of need. The situation presented to members this year was a missing person where the target was found only hours later.
