Top South Dakota Wing Awards
South Dakota Wing held its annual state conference this weekend, including an awards banquet recognizing excellence. The top awards were:
- Squadron of Merit (excellence in the CAP Cadet Program) - Lookout Mountain Composite Squadron, Spearfish
- Cadet of the Year - Cadet 2nd Lt Josiah Kilburn of Rushmore Composite Squadron, Rapid City/Ellsworth AFB
- Senior of the Year - Capt Denise Clement of Lincoln County Composite Squadron, Tea
- Squadron of the Year (overall excellence) - Lincoln County Composite Squadron, Tea
Awards were presented by CAP's SD Wing Commander, Col MIchael Marek
